The survival of contemporary companies in a dynamically changing and highly competitive market is conditional, to a large extent, on their capability to introduce innovations. It is thus necessary to ensure the effective management of innovative processes, which can not only be based on various concepts and models but is also determined by many factors. While seeking and introducing innovations, it is of paramount importance to seize arising market opportunities quickly and respond to diversified challenges and barriers without being fearful. Furthermore, innovations that make it possible for companies to boost sales can be sought in various areas, such as: strategies, processes, technologies, elements of products (quality, brand, packaging), logistics, human resources.

This intricate and multifaceted nature of innovation management in contemporary companies is the reason why it should still attract researchers’ particular interest. For this reason, the Editorial Committee of this JEMI issue invites all authors involved in innovation management to share their latest theoretical considerations and research results.
